If you are a blogger or a business owner, then you should be aware that building relationships is muy importante. Like...REALLY importanate. You want people to love you and your product or service. You need people to buy from you. You need people to read your blog. You cannot live without relationships or you will fail. Period. No ands, ifs or buts about it. And in affiliate marketing, relationship building is the be all, end all. Why do you ask? Well, I'm so glad you asked. Read on and I will tell you all about some of the benefits of building relationships.
People Will Leave Comments On Your Site: I don't know about you... but I get absolutely GIDDY with excitement when someone leaves a comment on my site. (wink wink, nudge nudge) One of the things that helps your site move up to the first page of google is by having lots of quality content on your site. And what a lot of people don’t realize is that comments from readers helps your site rank better. Plus, it helps to get some conversation going and social engagement.. And who doesn't want a good conversation going??
People Will Share Your Articles and Blog Posts: Believe it or not, people will share your blog posts on Twitter or Facebook even if they could care less about the content. (hint, hint) I have friends on Facebook who don’t care at all about my niches or my websites. But, because I have a relationship with them and they want to help me, they will often share or “like” my stuff. This helps to generate MORE traffic and MORE buyers for me. It’s sort of a non spoken pay it forward kind of agreement that people have in social media. Most people will reciprocate. So start getting social. Seriously. I'm not joking.
You Get to Make New Friends Will YOU be my friend? Please? One of the best benefits of building relationships is that you make friends. I have friends from years ago when I was doing MySpace. (I shouldn't admit I was on Myspace, but still I was...and I still have friends from it) And even though we have all gone our separate ways, we still chat and keep in touch. It is always nice to make new friends.
So to sum this up...if you are a marketer - whether a network marketer, an affiliate marketer, an email marketer or a social media marketer - whatever you call yourself - for the love of all things holy - take a few minutes each day to build relationships. It will only make you all the more successful down the road. And you'll feel extra popular too.
